The Flying Carpenter (Lentävä kirvesmies)
Absurdist humour, Bronze Age mythology, and magical realism come together in this laugh-a- minute story of a man and his nemesis: a giant, black eagle.
It’s 100BC. The eccentric Bronze Age inventor Ronkoteus finds himself stranded in the middle of Lake Pielinen, only to be pulled out of the water by a giant, black eagle. The ever-resourceful Ronkoteus decides to make the most of his situation by stealing the eagle’s eggs and earning a bit of cash on the side by becoming ‘mother’ to a clutch of fledgling sea eagles.
